Intrinsic to our approach is building relationships with our patients. Dr Gerard Tang’s Eastwood dental surgery was founded on the idea that patients of all ages, especially children, need more than bare treatment. We want our patients to be able to turn to us for council and education on their oral care and dental hygiene. This is why we offer general dentistry treatments for young and old, so that we can begin this relationship at a young age. This ensures that good oral care habits become second nature over time, reducing the risk of oral hygiene problems. To ensure our patients get the best out of their visits, we offer gentle dental check-up’s that not only assess your oral health, but that of your overall well-being. Everything in the mouth is interconnected so when we assess your oral health we will consider your breath, signs of wear, tear and grinding on the teeth, signs of inflammation and swelling.

In order to get as much out of your appointment with us as possible, we will utilise technology that is both thorough and interactive. We have access to digital x-rays at our surgery that can form a digitalised version of your mouth. This can allow us to further assess the possible problems inside your mouth. To extend your experience and understanding of the inside your mouth, we have access to an Intraoral camera. This device allows us to film inside your mouth, showing you the more intimate areas of your mouth that you are usually unable to see in the dentist chair. We can talk you through your oral health problems and discuss treatments with this visual aid to get the most out of your Eastwood dental appointment
Our Dentists
Dr Gerard graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and has since worked in private practice. He has undertaken further study in various areas, in particular restorative and preventative dentistry. Dedicated to delivering the optimum level of care, Dr Gerard understands how to provide flexible care that delivers the best possible results for all his patients.
Having grown up in the local area and attended Eastwood primary school, Dr Gerard is very much involved the local community life. He has also made sure that every member of his team is committed to improving oral health standards in the community.
